Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a household of faith, surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest of three sons who was born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace to her son at a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. His brother, Reverend Ken is the highly regarded Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of global best-selling gospel artists.

Chris Oyakhilome Family Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by CSO she has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father and share the gospel of God the world. She is a gifted gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied in Edo College. He then won a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Additionally, he holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he got his calling from God to go into the ministry and be an obedient servant of the Lord.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor

The Man of God began what would later be one of the biggest churches in the world when the man was still in school at a university. It began with a small prayer group called ‘Youth for Christ’, which later grew into the most popular groups of its kind on campus. It also served as the basis of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the world.

The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris the pastor, Chris was an early pioneer in satellite television and Christian TV programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations available across satellite and cable networks throughout the world.

Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria and South Africa. It also has strong representation in the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, and South Africa. The ministry has two Healing Schools located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris organizes sessions during the season which allow miracles to happen.

Chris Oyakhilome Music and Gospel Music are an important part of the worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is trained and overseen by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these performers have had successful solo careers.

The Man, God, has founded NGOs with the mission to provide vital services and hope. COFI is a partnership of five who are dedicated to enhancing living standards in some the most neglected areas.

The InnerCity Mission for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps(VMC), Traga Care International Foundation [TCIFThe Traga Care International Foundation [TCIF Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and Bible For All Mission are all part of the COFI umbrella. Each of these organizations strives to improve the lives, health and spirits of the most in need.

His charitable organization also provides food to indigent children. Pastor Chris is a firm believer in the need to build solid communities through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the advancement of responsible governance, accountable leadership and sustainable development in Africa and other vulnerable regions in the world, according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
